As with a lot of our initial appointments I met with our Bride Chloe and her mum Angela, chatting about the wedding and showing off some of our work and what we offer. At that point the only thing I knew about our Groom was his name, Calvin. It's always tricky getting a feel for a couple when one of them is missing however I knew from the outset that we would work well together and our day capturing their wedding would be a lot of fun.
With all our wedding album packages we provide a free pre-wedding photo session for a few reasons. To give our bride and groom an insight into how we work, how relaxed and easy it is and to help them realise that being the centre of attention isn't always scary. It also helps us a photographers that on their wedding day we have a great couple who enjoy having their day captured and will then get the most from their images.
We took a drive to Silent Valley for our pre-wedding images and even though it was the first time Calvin and I had met he relaxed into the way of things very easily and we captured some lovely images of them.
Unfortunately their wedding day didn't have the nice weather we experienced on the pre-wedding session however our couple were fantastic and made the most of their special day.
Morning preparations were busy with a group of 4 bridesmaids full of smiles when we arrived and Martina from Essence of Beauty busy with makeup. The cars soon arrived with personalised plates carrying the name of our bride and groom and we were on the way (It was a lovely touch from C4 Wedding cars).
An intimate ceremony was held in Trinity Church, Temple, Carryduff then we were on our way to Millbrook Lodge to enjoy time with their friends & family and for us to capture some images of our couple in the grounds. The Millbrook Lodge is a fantastic venue with a new reception room to cater for weddings with ease and great patio areas for guests. With it being a new refurbishment and more updates currently being carried out it really is worth a visit if you are looking for a reception venue.
With a few brollies, our couple made their way outside to the gardens to make the best of our NI weather and use what light we had remaining being a late November wedding.
After we spent some time with our couple and they got back to their guests we had the opportunity to photograph some of the important small details that take so much time to arrange. I think their cake was my favorite of the year. Very simple with a bride and groom pine-cone as a topper. I LOVED IT.
We entertained their guests with a pop up photo-booth while they waited on their evening entertainment starting where we got the opportunity to capture our couples first dance together.
Thank you for inviting us to be a part of you day
